Gérard Socié, MD, PhD, is the Head of Hematology-Transplantation at Hospital Saint-Louis in Paris, one of the leading international centers for allogeneic stem cell transplantation. His research interests in the field of allogeneic stem cell transplantation include graft-versus-host-disease and its late effects, aplastic anemia with a special focus on paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, and Fanconi anemia. His research has resulted in nearly 800 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Socié received his MD and PhD in Molecular Oncology from the University of Paris VII.
